Course Details
Frame Running Dragons Cardiff (FRDC) have been running weekly at the stadium for over 10 years, supported by parents, carers, volunteers, officials and funders. This special event marks 70 years of Cardiff’s twinning with Stuttgart and 60 years with Nantes. Both cities are developing frame running, now a Paralympic sport heading to Los Angeles 2028.

After 70 years of twinning, we hope frame running will be a new link between Cardiff, Stuttgart and Nantes, building friendships and opportunities across our cities.
What is Frame Running?

Frame running allows children and adults with disabilities to move freely using a three-wheeled running frame with a saddle, chest plate and handlebars. Thin wheels glide with minimal friction, making running or walking easier and more secure.

• Perfect for beginners – start from 5 metres
• Progress to longer distances, even marathons
• Fun, fitness, and new friendships
Our course invites new frame runners to try the sport alongside other beginners and to meet athletes who enjoy running, with or without a frame. Although based in Cardiff, we welcome participants from anywhere. Please note that our frames (which are limited) will be matched to individual needs, including height, weight and level of support required. If the weather is poor, training will take place indoors.

You will receive a special certificate for
completing the course.
